I've been reading a lot about personality types lately, specifically the Myers Briggs & Keirsey Temperament classifications. According to the tests I've taken, mine is "INFJ". I = introverted, N = iNtuitive, F = Feeling, and J = Judging. Here's a good description of what these terms mean. I think my type describes me very well.
Apparently it is the rarest of the 16 types (about 1.5% of the population, and most of those are female). I have a close friend who also is INFJ and I'm often amazed at how much we have in common and how well we seem to understand each other. So maybe there really is something to this stuff.
I am very curious to know the personality types of my friends and family who read this blog. Please leave a comment if you know yours. If you don't, here is a simple test.
I've done these before, and I don't always get the same answer. I'm usually either INFJ or ENFJ (basically no confidence on whether I'm an extrovert or an introvert), and I've even gotten INTJ a couple times before. It's all so complicated!
I am an INTJ, and according to the write-up, that personality type makes up no more than 1% of the population. So BOO-YA!! I am more rare than you are :)
