Reading minds

I wonder how good life would be if people always told each other exactly what they're thinking and how they feel about each other -- especially in dating type situations.

While I think that would be great, why is it so hard (even scary) to do? Is it that I don't tell them because they don't tell me, or do they not tell me because I don't tell them? Revelations from both sides seem to come all at once, but usually require some kind of catalyst.

Maybe it's like an earthquake... the pressure builds up between the plates for a while, then it only takes a little slip somewhere to make both sides shake together.

I wish people would be honest too. I've been on the losing end of that honesty lately. Not fun at all. It all ends up to a broken heart and me being scared they'll never want to be my friend again. I was like that for you for a long time but now I realize you are different. I hope that others are the same.

But I digress.

Hey, did you listen to Coast to Coast AM tonight? They are talking about quakes.

I have a friend who tells me exactly what she's thinking and how she feels about me. Admittedly, it's a little shocking sometimes and has taken some adjustment, but it's far better than being confused all the time. In fact... that quality is one of the reasons I asked her to marry me.

It doesn't have to be a game!

:) I think a lot of people have a hard time with this because they are so afraid of rejection.... it's so tough to open up and then be shot down...

When I was talking with Tony last night, I said that we could read people's thoughts with little bubbles above their heads. He just said that would get a lot of people in trouble..haha. It would make things easier though!

Do you really want to see someone's reaction if you tell them everything you think about them, even the downright insulting things?

If your friend came to you and began admitting to every disgusting little sin in their life, even the one's they aren't repentant of, would you want to hear it?

Do you think we could deal with all the thoughts that pop into our heads if they all found expression? Would we even recognize ourselves?

No need to wonder sir about reading my mind in order to find out my thoughts on you. You sir are a pseudointellectual jizzbag! Raaamone, microclimatology is gay!
