Trip to Guatemala

I'm planning to go on a "mission trip" to Guatemala next month. I just finished the paperwork/application and will send it in soon. Don't worry, I won't be spreading any heresy to Central America. I'll just be helping out with various service projects.

I've never been to Guatemala but Central/South America is the part of the world I most want to go to. After my trips to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, I've been wanting to find a way to learn more about people in that part of the world -- specifically, what their needs are and if there might be any way I could help. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity. And I'll be going with a friend who I haven't seen much in a long time -- one who's spent the past couple years traveling even more than I have.
