Dream Vacation

Today someone asked me where I would go for my dream vacation. To be honest, my first reaction was "Norman, Oklahoma". It really is the place I most want to go right now.

I love traveling. But it's possible to have too much of a good thing. During the past few months I've gone on trips to Japan, Washington DC, Mexico, Colorado, and 4 trips to California. I think I've been away more than I've been home. And during the short times I'm home it seems like all I'm doing is catching up (from being gone so much) and preparing for the next trip.

My "dream vacation" will start on Thanksgiving. I'll been in Norman, I won't have another trip to be packing for, I won't have a hundred things to catch up on, and I'll be spending the week with a very special 'friend' from San Jose. There's no place I'd rather be.

I'm going to Tokyo!!

It's official now - just received confirmation. I'm being sent to Tokyo next week!

I thought it would be a cool/surprising thing to announce here, but the Daily Oklahoman already told everyone before I could. (link to story)

Another thing that's official now - NanoWeather Inc. is now a real company. I received the certificate from the OK Secretary of State a few days ago. I guess the Oklahoman stole my thunder on that one too.

I'm very excited about going to Tokyo but very worried about the food. I still don't know of any Asian food that I like.

Personality Types

I've been reading a lot about personality types lately, specifically the Myers Briggs & Keirsey Temperament classifications. According to the tests I've taken, mine is "INFJ". I = introverted, N = iNtuitive, F = Feeling, and J = Judging. Here's a good description of what these terms mean. I think my type describes me very well.

Apparently it is the rarest of the 16 types (about 1.5% of the population, and most of those are female). I have a close friend who also is INFJ and I'm often amazed at how much we have in common and how well we seem to understand each other. So maybe there really is something to this stuff.

I am very curious to know the personality types of my friends and family who read this blog. Please leave a comment if you know yours. If you don't, here is a simple test.
